FAQ

  • With Superstar Day rate, you get more than my hourly time, such as access to my VIP member area, training videos, a free Kick-Off Call, a free live tutorial, and 30 days of client support including minor edits to your project and fixing tech issues. I also do prep work prior to the Superstar Day to prepare your project. This could include researching your type of business, creating a mood board, searching for fonts, creating a comp of color pallets, searching for stock images, editing and optimizing images, etc.

    With a Superstar Day your project is scheduled so no one else can take your spot. There are email reminders and support. With the client pre-work, the Kick-Off Call and our communication on the Superstar Day, there’s no downtime waiting for either one of us to hear back from the other about questions or approvals.

    Hourly rates are nickled and dimed. Billing for hourly rate is also difficult to track and can be unpredictable. Project rates can be severely over-estimated or under-estimated. It’s difficult for the client to understand what the designer is actually doing and where the money goes. With Superstar Days you have frequent check-ins throughout the day so you are in the know of what’s going on and what’s getting accomplished for your money.

    With hourly and flat rates designers are often multi-tasking with many distractions from other clients. Losing concentration and focus causes small delays that add up to a lot! Productivity is lost trying to regain focus.

    With Superstar Days rates your projects are streamlined, efficient, and highly productive!!

  • As long as you have sent me all of your assets (written content, images, etc), you’ve filled out the Work With Me form(s), we’ve had a free Kick Off Call, and you could fit at least a quick check in 1-2 times during the day of the Superstar, we can make it work!

  • Nope! The more frequently you can check your email and texts the more likely it is that we can finish your project. But you can go about your business with your notification on. I get more done on my own so staying on a zoom meeting the whole time is not the intention here, just being available for check-ins is good!

  • Client Pre-Work

    The Client Pre-Work consists of 3 things: Forms, Share Content, and the Kick-Off Call.

    To create cohesive, effective, and stunning designs a designer needs to understand your business, what you want, and the outcome of the project. I’ve created easy to fill out forms to collect this information from you.

    In the form there are questions related to:

    • General business info (name, email, website address, etc)

    • The details of what you want me to want me to work on

    • Who your target audience is

    • Your brand, and if I’m creating one for you, what words describe how you want the world to see you, etc.

    • If you want a website with a shop or services there will be separate forms about your products, service, prices, etc.

    • That’s about it!

    If you have written content, images, graphics, or video that you want in your project, you will need to share those with me. We will use Google Drive and Dropbox for this. When you book a Superstar Day you will have access to instructions on how to do this as my support for you begins when you book, I’m here if you need additional help!

    The Kick-Off Call is an up to 60-minute call or Zoom. In this call you can explain in detail the needs of your project and what you want the outcome to be. You can ask me any questions you have and I can get my questions answered as well so I have a full grasp on your project’s needs.

    Designer Pre-Work

    The Designer’s Pre-Work consists of administrative work such as:

    • onboarding instructions and email reminders

    • client support with their pre-work

    • reviewing client pre-work forms and shared content

    It also includes creative and conceptual work including some or all of but not limited to the following:

    • research on your type of business, competitors, and goals of the project

    • mood boards

    • branding concept and strategy

    • creating design comps for branding or project

    • Color pallet development

    • Font search

    • Stock image search

    • Resizing, editing, and optimizing images for web (images need to be a certain size to load properly and quickly on websites)

    • Site Map for a website

    All of this is included in your Superstar Day!

  • A Kick Off Call allows us to go over what you want me to do on your Superstar Day. It’s good to book a Kick Off Call at least 2 days prior to your Superstar Day, and have your Prep Work done (fill out short forms about your company and project and share your images, written text, etc. with me. This way I can make sure I have everything I need and do my own prep work for your Superstar Day. On the Kick Off Call we will go over all of the details about your project and we can both get our questions answered. This helps ensure a smooth Superstar Day and to maximize the time I spend working on your project.

  • An integral part of Superstars Days being highly effective with fab results is the client pre-work and the designer pre-work. If you are unable to complete the easy to fill in form(s) and send me the written content and images needed for your project 7 days before your Superstar Day we may need to reschedule. Having the forms and content 7 days before the Superstar Day allows me to do the pre-work I need to do to be sufficiently ready for your Superstar Day.

  • If there is a lot of back and forth with edits or the scope of your project changes, we may need to book an additional Superstar Half Day or full Superstar Day.

  • Sometimes it’s hard to know how long things will take and sometimes we might not get to everything. Sometimes there are unforeseen snags. In this case we can book a Superstar Half Day to finish up.

  • We will use Google Docs, Google Drive to share documents and files, and Dropbox to share images and video. Google apps and Dropbox are free to use with free sign up to login. Not sure how to use Google Apps and Dropbox? That’s okay! I walk you through exactly how to share your content through Google Drive, Docs, and Dropbox in tutorial videos. You can book an additional free call at any time for support.

  • No worries! I’ve got tutorials and videos for that and am available for questions. We’ve got this!

  • Deposits are no-refundable, but we can reschedule up to 48 hours prior to the Superstar day start time. See my policies and terms.

  • I do every effort to work solidly within our 7 hour Superstar Day, but occasionally urgent matters do come up for me or my kids. In this case, I will make up the time missed in the afternoon/evening or will reschedule for ASAP.

  • You will hear from me through out the day (unless we’ve worked out specific times) and I will send you work as I complete it for review and feedback. Sometimes I get totally in the zone but you can always check in!
